Veronica Burris
Veronica Burris, is the daughter of Debbie Burris and Craig Burris, both of Washington.  A senior at Washington Catholic High School, Veronica has applied to the University Southern Indiana, University of Evansville and Marian College. Over the last four years, Veronica has been an active participant in her high school and in her community.  She has been a member of the Key Club, BETA Club, Business Professionals of America, has participated in March for Life, received the 2007 National Torch award, was an Academic Bowl Participant and was Jr. Class Secretary. She has been a Child Tutor at the library, Church Server and Eucharistic Minister, a Friend of the Library Book Club Sale Volunteer, the Founder of Anam Cara and was a Senator Richard Lugar Symposium participant.  In addition to her numerous educational and civic endeavors, Veronica has maintained part-time employment during her high school years.

Meredith Deem
Meredith Deem, daughter of Cyrus and Michelle Deem of Washington, is a senior at Washington Catholic High School.  She has applied to Indiana University with plans to major in English Literature.  Over the last four years, Meredith has been a member of the Beta Club, March for Life Club, Business Professionals of America,-receiving the Torch Award and was Junior Class President.  She was recommended for the National Honor Society , a Member of the Photography club and attended the Beta State convention.  Meredith participated in soccer, was captain of the team and Lettered 4 years.  She was the recipient of the Hustle Award in Basketball.  Meredith has been a United Way Student Representative and fundraiser representative , Eucharistic Minister and Church reader, an organizer of a school wide recycling project, volunteered for Jubilee Christmas and was the Pregnancy Care Center spokesperson at masses. Meredith has held part-time jobs throughout her high school career.
