This Year's Lilly Scholars

The Daviess County Community Foundation Announces the 2011 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Recipient
One student has been named the recipient of the four-year, full-tuition scholarship as the Daviess County Community Foundation 2011 Lilly Endowment Scholar.

Robert Wilson, son of John and Kathy Wilson of Odon, will receive full tuition to the Indiana College of his choice and an $800 yearly stipend for required books and equipment.

Robert, a senior at North Daviess High School in Elnora, Indiana, intends to attend Purdue University to study Biology.Robert is self-employed as a produce farmer and vendor and was awarded the 2010 Tri-State Better Business Bureau Student of Integrity Award. He has been involved in Science Club, Beta Club, Student Council and Red Cross for most of his high school career. He received the Pott Foundation Tri-State Science and Engineering Fair Senior Grand alternate Award, the Yale Science and Engineering Association Most Outstanding Exhibit Award, and many other awards and honors.  He also was a 4-H member, performed in Band, played Tennis, ran Track and Field and volunteered for several local non profit organizations.
